I wanted to check out some historic building in this town to see what the themes and emotions were like at a time of colonization.
The legislative assembly 1882 - present
This building was my favorite since it what more like a museum inside where it displayed some old pieces of history including swords, books, and paintings.

The way it was built is beautiful such detail put into the making of this building. The wallpaper was done by the Chinese and and the rest was the French second empire.
They allowed me to walk on the two floors and only go inside rooms that were open.
I was told the gladiator or centurion is a sign of peace but that is what one lady said at the front desk.
The one on the roof looks like a devil with her pitched fork.
Justice house 1876 - 1930
The courthouse allowed me in to look around but there wasn't has much going on.

The city hall
They did not allow me to tour this building.
