CN Tower and travel to Fredericton, New Brunswick!
We started our day early to head downtown for breakfast and a tour of the CN Tower.
With yummy food, we tried the special Halloween lemonade at Cafe Landwer. After breakfast, it was a short, chilly walk to the CN Tower. The CN Tower offers a variety of tour experiences and we booked the main-level and top-level tickets. The fun started in the elevator. The main viewing level is 114 storeys up (346 metres), and it doesn't take the elevator long to get there. We did a few laps around the main observation deck and then headed up another 33 storeys to the "Top". We will post our perspectives in our updates.
When we returned to the hotel, we had about 20 minutes to finish repacking our luggage before the shuttle picked us up for our flight to Fredericton, New Brunswick. The check-in and security process was quick and left over an hour before we started boarding the flight. We spent the time grabbing snacks and doing work. This flight was with Air Canada and took under 2 hours. We didn't get to pick our seats, so we were all in separate rows but within sight.
The Fredericton airport is much smaller than Toronto and Vancouver and a little bigger than Williams Lake (from what we could see). The taxi ride to the Crowne Plaza Hotel took around 15-20 minutes. The hotel is along the St. John River in downtown Fredericton and is right across the street from where our conference will be. We checked in, made plans to meet for breakfast the next morning, and went our separate ways for the rest of the evening.
