10:00am - 11:00am

Started off with a keynote session: The need to transform fire management: A look back at the recent fire seasons.

With Cheif Conroy sewepagaham from red river Alberta, Kelley copes - gerbitz MC, and Yan boulanger climate change scientist.

So far they have been talking about their experiences with wildfires and discussing new ideas on risk management or precaution.

Cheif Conroy and his people created caribou mountain homes or fire resistant homes that do not use much energy.

Ice bridges to fox lake are not being made as early has it should.

Carbon offsets and pushing their youth into the sciences and the ways to prevent or slow down climate change.

Looking at the policy's that only favor or work with urban communities.

Firesmart.

They are saying the soils are not holding as much moisture through November it is really dry overall.

To bring humanity back into our communication and work.

Yan boulanger:

If we are to remain on the earth we will continue to change the way things grow and the conditions of the earth and air. Climate change and human intervention.

In some cases the timber supply is being lowered due to the severity of fires.

Very uncertain on the extent of the impacts.

They have been building relationships with the first nations here.

Northshore of the st Lawrence the nation there are taking the fires very seriously.

He's saying we have to learn from each other and what it all this means to one another. Bringing humanity back.

I have been just writing down what they have been saying.

How do we inject people to share their deeper emoitions and values when working to an end objective. Cheif conroy says it is best to sit down and eat together. Honesty.

Sharing circle. Yawning sessions.

You have to building your understanding of your self. Cree are called the people of the four directions.

"Soon as you stop asking questions then you should be dead" says cheif conroy.

11:30am - 11:50am

Purposeful collaboration: stragies for transforming how organizations work together in wildfires mitigation.

Elsie dedecker

When collaboration occurs it mean the party's are getting more resources when they are together.

The reasons we are in the room and the reasons for change is what brings us to collaboration successfully.

Identifying participants on which attributes that they should possess.

Four quality's of creating a complex working group:

Need to have application to accept the bigger picture, take the ideas in the room and bring them to other people, be empowered to make decisions, and an element of wanting to be there is important.

Starts with a reason to change.

Dual diamond framework:

Problem diamond and solution diamond.

Effectiveness and efficiency.

Go slow to go fast and having them confrontation upfront.

Questions:

how can you deal with a problem withing the team?

A team charter can be developed to show at a team based on what code the team should all follow to work together.

12:10 - 12:30

Many stations are overlapping.

simulations of different inventory data to.display the smoke emissions.

Models that compare the data throughout the variations of systems to produce the simulations. GFAS is working better than other model simulations. Four total.
